Leading Cleaners Internationale (LCI) believes that all clothing must be Ready-to-Wear when it's returned to a customer. This should be every drycleaners' promise but, in many cases, it's not! The following conditions should be met by your drycleaner and must be present to meet LCI's high expectations:

  • Broken and missing buttons replaced (with matching buttons whenever possible)
  • Open seams and fallen hems repaired
  • Softly-rolled hems (when intended by the designer)
  • Softly-pressed lapels, pocket flaps, plackets and seams, without shine or impressions
  • Dress shirts free of wrinkles, properly starched, and collar stays replaced
  • Stains safely removed (with a legitimate note when they cannot be safely removed)
  • Sizing and body on Taffeta and other fabrics
  • Clothing in better shape than it was before cleaning

The secret to consistent quality and service is continued education, hands-on management, attention to detail and nuance, caring staff, and intuitive ownership: In short, the passion for being the best.

To find these qualities in the "average" drycleaning operation is rare. To find these qualities in a Leading Cleaners affiliate is common. It's another level of awareness. That's why LCI affiliates do not consider themselves drycleaners. LCI affiliates have met stringent criteria that have allowed them to become a Certified Couture Cleaner.
